Between 2008 and 2009, I participated in the Black Liberation Movements Mosaic, a research project that contrasted the South African anti-apartheid movement with the US civil rights movement in Mississippi. Organized by the Community Studies Center (CSC) of Dickinson College, the collaborative project involved oral history interviews with activists and participants, archival study, museum analysis, and engagement with the historical literature. Following the culmination of the study, I was hired by the CSC as an archival assistant to appraise, process, and apply preservation to the materials in the collection, and to create a DACS-compliant collection finding aid.
